From the Mayor
As we move into June, it amazes me how fast the first half of the year has come. The weather is now on our side, yet the grass seems to want to fight a continuous battle. I want to remind everyone that keeping your property mowed can do great things for the community. Not only is it pleasing to the eye, but it keeps the insect and rodent population down. Plus it is the right thing to do! In addition, try not to blow your grass clipping into the street. Grass clipping and litter build up near the drains, and in the sewer and storm water systems. This of course can lead to flooding in certain areas, and increase the mosquito population.
June also means it is Hancock County 4-H Fair time! The fair will run from June 19th-26th, and I encourage everyone to visit. There is a great amount of effort that goes into this yearly event, and many young participants have worked very hard to showcase their talents.
So have a wonderful month of June, and if you find yourself in the area of City Hall, stop in and say hello. From the Mayor's Office, have a great month.

There are few things better in life than a big, juicy burger. It's one of the hallmarks of a successful barbecue. But what to put in and on your burger? Here is a basic burger with all the trimmings that never disappoints. The crags of the English muffin perfectly hold all the condiments in little pockets. Get an extra napkin. You're gonna need it.
