What a difference a year makes! In the winter months of 2013-2014 we had record snowfall and a polar vortex that seemed destined to stay. The late months of 2014 and the beginning of 2015 have been wonderful in comparison. The snow, particularly when we get several inches poses challenges. I have asked the Street Department to be mindful and to try their best to limit the amount of snow that gets deposited at the edges of driveways, cul-de- sac's, and sidewalks while clearing the city streets. Inevitably there will be some inconveniences with the larger snowfall, and the Street Department will continue to do their best to limit those inconveniences.
The Potts Ditch Project is progressing, and weekly meetings are still being held on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 a.m. at Carol Cornerstone Cafe on East Main St. If you have questions or would like to talk about the project, I encourage you to attend one of these meetings. If you cannot attend one of the meetings, you are welcome to visit my office. Feel free to stop in for a friendly conversation over coffee or just to say hello!
From all of us at City Hall; have a great March!

The "BIG HILL" that I'm referring to is just that the big hill in Riley Park. It sits on the east end of the park by the Old Log Jail and is easily visible from US 40. Going sledding down the big hill is one of Greenfield's top traditions..

En papillote is the French term for food baked in a parchment paper packet. Steam trapped inside the packet gently cooks the fish as the other ingredients meld into an intensely flavorful, chunky vegetable sauce. Serve the dish with crusty French bread.
